A strong civil society sector fosters social trust and cooperation between communities. In addition, an active civil society has a stabilising effect on an economy and democracy. In South Africa, there are an estimated 100 000 community organisations . The recent growth in the civil society sector has coincided with reduced support from both government and the private sector. To overcome these challenges an NGO will require a partner, like Libertech, who can provide innovative ways to increase its public support and revenue.

Libertech (Pty) Ltd was established in May 2018 by Cornelius Jansen van Rensburg. Initially the company provided outbound call centre services. Since then Libertech’s service offering expanded. Today Libertech is a consulting services company with a specific focus on revenue enhancement strategies and services for civil society organisations.

Libertech’s vision is to strengthen the civil society sector by helping organisations to become financially independent and build an active supporters base.
